William Keith Tate, 73, of Haughton, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026. Born on August 28, 1953, Keith lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, compassion, and a deep love for his family.
Keith was a dedicated professional who retired after a successful career as the Regional Manager for Oak Farms Dairy, serving Northeast and Central Louisiana. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to those around him.
To his children, Keith was a supportive, affectionate, and compassionate father. He was generous with his time, his talents, and his love. Like many strong-willed men, he could sometimes be stubborn, but that determination was also part of what made him the man his family knew and loved.
Keith had many passions and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time at the shooting range, taking long drives in his Mustang, and, perhaps most importantly, spoiling his beloved parrots. He was also an amazing gourmet cook, and his family will undoubtedly remember the meals he prepared and the love that went into them.
One of Keith’s greatest joys was being a grandfather. He was a doting grandfather to Tabitha Tate and Peyton Swanson, and his love and affection for them were unmistakable. The memories he created with his children and grandchildren will remain a lasting part of his family's lives.
Keith is survived by his children, Christopher Tate, Jennifer Tate, and Robin Tate; his grandchildren, Tabitha Tate and Peyton Swanson; and his siblings, Vickie Sue Shelton, James Tate, and Kenneth Tate.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Tate; his father, William Haywood Tate; and his mother, Winnie Rea Klein.
Keith leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, generosity, and family. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him, but the memories of his kindness, his culinary skills, his stubborn determination, his sense of adventure, and especially his love for his family will remain in their hearts.
Rest peacefully, Dad. You were loved more than words can say, and you will never be forgotten
