Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Howard Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Gene worked and retired from Florida Marine Transporters as a tankerman. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman. Gene was a family man, jokester and all around loveable person.
Gene is survived by his son, Kevin Jackson and wife Destiny Jackson; daughter, Jessica Polk and husband Scott Jones; two grandchildren, Connor Jones and Alayna Polk; brothers, Ray Jackson and wife Barbara and Garland Jackson; sisters, Margaret Burns and husband Larry, Shirley Woods and Kay Babin, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sibyl Jackson; parents, Archie and Margaret Jackson; brothers, Melvin, Alfred and Bobby.
Pallbearers will be Barry, Andrew, Dusty, Drew, Ralph and Samuel.
