Barbara Rappaport

A daughter of Brooklyn, she carried the borough's vibrant spirit with her through six decades in Westchester. An avid reader and talented writer, she was known for her beautiful penmanship and the heartfelt letters that meant so much to those who received them. She delighted in her treasured shopping trips to Lord & Taylor. Voting was a responsibility she never neglected, taking great pride in casting her ballot in every election. Her extraordinary ability to remember birthdays and anniversaries was a constant source of joy for family and friends. Predeceased by husband Robert of 35 years, sister Sunni, and son Donald, she is survived by son Gary (Jill), daughter Lynn, grandchildren Hannah (Andy), Rebecca, and Blake, and great-grandson Tavi.

Graveside Services for Barbara will be held Thursday Sept. 11, 2025 1:30PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery, located at 50 Jackson Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, 10706.
