

Born and raised in the Bronx New York, Eleanor later made her home in Scarsdale and then Hartsdale, where she devoted her life to raising her family and creating a home filled with love, warmth, and generosity. She was married to her husband Simon for 49 years.
Eleanor was the beloved mother of three sons, Fred Brody, Neil Brody (Susan) and Marc Brody (Joanna). She was a devoted grandmother to Emily, Sam, and Will, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Nothing made Eleanor happier than spending time with her grandchildren. She faithfully attended their baseball games, dance recitals, school events, and celebrations, cheering them on every step of the way. She never arrived for a visit without a thoughtful gift in hand, a reflection of her generous spirit and the love she had for her family.
Eleanor embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. She exercised almost every day, enjoyed spending time at the senior center with friends, ate healthfully, loved to shop and remained active and engaged throughout her life. She had a youthful spirit, a warm smile, and a zest for living that inspired everyone who knew her.
Above all, Eleanor will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her kindness, her thoughtfulness, and the joy she found in caring for others. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and generosity that will continue to live on in her children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 10:30am at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, New Jersey.Donations in Eleanor’s memory may be made to the Valerie Fund.
The family will forever cherish Eleanor’s memory and the countless ways she enriched their lives. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
