Estelle Colao

Beloved mother and grandmother, Estelle Colao, nee Mittleman, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2013. Born on May 18, 1927, Estelle was the loving wife and widow of Joseph A. Colao, and, the proud mother of Stephen Colao of Pomona, New York and Joseph G. Colao of Bedford, New York. In addition to her sons, Estelle is survived by her adoring grandchildren: Christopher, Jacqueline, Rachel, Natalie, Jean, Brian and Michael, and five great grandchlldren. A life lived with simple, undemanding grace, Estelle cherished the treasure of the love of her sons and family. Her humor, unmistakable laugh, love of life and gentle presence will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 16th at 10 a.m. at the Riverside Memorial Chapel, Mt.Vernon, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
