Frieda Kaplan, 97 of West Hartford, formerly from Mt. Vernon, NY passed away peacefully on June 17th. Beloved wife, mother, and friend, widow of Isaac Kaplan and predeceased by sisters Bella Kleiman and Ida Dyen. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws Susan and Jeffrey Sidewater and Natalie and Larry Walker, grandchildren Jeffrey and Jessica Sylvan, Jason Mathison and Nicole Frankenberg, nephew and niece Mark and Isabel Kleiman and great grandchildren Abby, Nicholas and Grant. Special thanks to floor 2N staff at the Hebrew Home for their dedicated care. A graveside ceremony will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in NY on June 19, 2015 and will be followed by a Shiva at the Sidewater home on Fri. thru Sun.
