
of Yonkers, He was born on November 30, 1927 in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
Raised in the Bronx, NY, Harry graduated Dewitt Clinton High School, Long
Island University and attended Fordham University and Brooklyn Law
School.
On June 20, 1964, Harry married the love of his life, Bernice Paler and
together they had two sons. He worked as a Probation Officer for the City
of New York for 37 years, retiring in 1991 as a Supervising Probation
Officer. Harry was involved in Yonkers politics for many years helping
Bernice get elected to various posts in Yonkers City government and in
1995 to the Westchester County Board of Legislators.
Harry leaves behind his beloved wife, Bernice, and his sons, Sherwood
(Nora) Spreckman, Alan (Jill) Paler, Rory Spreckman and Howard (Dana)
Spreckman as well as his grandchildren, Sherwood, Andrew, Evan, Jake,
Jaclyn, Brian, Craig, Mason, Jackson and Julianna. Harry, Bernice's
constant companion, enjoyed rooting for the New York Yankees, the Giants
and the Knicks. Socializing at the Clairmont Diner in Yonkers, NY
