Ira graduated from Hofstra University, a milestone that reflected his diligence and determination. After many years as a Sales Manager, he retired in 2021, closing a meaningful chapter of work and responsibility with the same steady purpose that guided him throughout his life.
In February 1977, Ira married Bonnie, and together they built a family that remained at the center of his world. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his two children, Marc Grossman (wife Karen) and Samantha Horn (husband Matthew); and his three grandchildren, Landon, Nathan, and Preston. He is also survived by his brother, Mitchell Grossman (wife Andrea). Ira's parents, Florence and Sam Grossman, had predeceased him.
Those who knew Ira will remember the constancy of his care for family and friends, and the simple, enduring joy he found in the New York Yankees—an allegiance that brought him pleasure and connection through the years.
A Graveside Service will be held at Mount Eden Cemetery, 20 Commerce Street, Hawthorne, NY, on July 21, 2026, at 11:30 am.
