Dear Anne, David, Paul and Mark,

We want to offer you our heartfelt condolences. When seeing the memorial service, we were deeply touched by your words and 
stories about Julius. In our zoom conversations we felt Julius to be so kind, open hearted and interested. We are truly sorry
that it wasn't in the realm of possibilities to physically meet him and also not to be physically with you in this memorial service.

As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said: Each one sees, what he carries in his heart. Meaning that we wish your memories of Julius 
to always stay with you.

Dear David, Paul and Ann-

The love and devotion of the Oestreichers was always a model to me of the way families should be.  A long time friend of David and Paul, I always felt welcomed by that love and devotion, which you generously shared with the world.  Julius always impressed me as a gentle practical joker who was also loving.  As someone who has lost his mother and several close friends in the last few years, I know how painful this loss is to you, but I also  am hoping the three of you can find deep consolation in good memories. Our family will always remember fondly the many times we sat on the porch at the Lodge at Prospect point cottages and shared ice cream , tea, and stories together! Rest in Peace. ❤️

I was always so inspired by Julius as he was so knowledgeable and helpful with the Swyer family throughout the many years that he  came and offered his sage advice. I will always hold many memories of him so close to my heart and mind. He was a father figure to me and my heart goes out to you. Today is a beautiful tribute to a long and beautiful life that he lived to the fullest with so much for others.

In 1976, I called Mr. Oestreicher, because of a legal problem I had with an unscrupulous printer concerning a book of my photographs. I gave him the details, and he said he’d contact the printer as soon as he could. He resolved the problem that day – and when I asked about his fee, he said “There is no charge for art.”

The book did well at Doubleday in Scarsdale, and the manager wanted to order more. Mr. Oestreicher was responsible for the book’s existence.

I had never spoken with this wonderful man before that phone call. His son David, a student in my school, heard about the problem and suggested I call him. A few years ago, I met Mr. Oestreicher at David’s birthday party; of course, he didn’t remember those two phone calls, because he was that special individual, that kind man who always helped other people. 

But I’ll never forget him.

              We enjoyed meeting Julius many years ago at beautiful Prospect Point Cottages. I learned from David that his Dad was a brilliant lawyer who counseled  long time clients well into his later years. We are sorry for your loss. But what a great life well lived.  Accept our condolences
