It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Laurence Kramer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on August 11, 1945, to Betty and Charles Kramer, Laurence lived a life centered on love, loyalty, and devotion to family.
He loved his wife, Ellen, beyond words. Together they built a life filled with love and shared adventures, traveling and making memories. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Leigh Suresky, and her husband, Joshua, and to his son, Adam Kramer, and his wife, Allison. Being “Grandpa” to Chace, Remi, Amelia, and Andrew was his greatest joy. He never missed a chance to support them, celebrate their accomplishments, and remind them how deeply they were loved.
After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, Laurence built a respected career as a real estate attorney, eventually opening his own practice in Armonk, New York—close to home so he could be near his family. Known for his sharp mind, integrity, and dedication to his clients, he was also a familiar face in town, often seen walking the streets of Armonk, proudly talking about his children and grandchildren.
Laurence cherished his years in Florida, especially in the Ibis community, where he enjoyed golf, sunshine, and lasting friendships.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; children, Leigh (Joshua) Suresky and Adam (Allison) Kramer; grandchildren, Chace, Remi, Amelia, and Andrew; his brother, Steven Kramer; and many extended family members and friends.
Services will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 100 Saw Mill River Road, Hawthorne, NY 10532, on Thursday, August 14th, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, NY 10595.
Shiva will be observed at 7 Meadow Lane, Katonah, NY 10536, on Thursday, August 14th, at 2:00 p.m., and Friday, August 15th, at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Windward Fund at https://www.thewindwardschool.org/about/support/give-today, a cause deeply meaningful to Laurence as it supported his granddaughter Remi tremendously.
Laurence’s love, generosity, and example will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
