My mother, Judy Kassow Bensimon was a lifelong friend of your mother. They knew each other since first grade and somehow managed to keep up with the friendship all these years, though with greater difficulty these past few years. My mom was trying to locate Lida’s phone number. I volunteered to look online and found the obituary. My mom wanted you to know that she has many, many fond memories of your mother and their friendship. You have our condolences.❤️

Dear Ted, Elise, Miriam and Martin:

I was sad to hear of Mom's passing through my dear friend,  Merill Resnick, a long-time member of Beth El Synagogue. 

I remember Mom (and Dad) so well, having grown up with all of you at L.P.J.C.  I know how devoted a friend both your parents were with my Dad, and he spoke so warmly to me about them both, for years, up until his own passing.  The several times when I came to their medical office, Lida was there, and made me feel like I was coming for a friendly visit. And, I know the pillars of support Mom and Dad were to LPJC synagogue, and the Westchester/Bronx community, in general.  

I remember Mom's beautiful smile, wise advice, and comforting manner. She was, to me, a great help, on many occasions. She is re-united with Dad, and, I am sure, rekindling the great love they both shared while they were here, in our midst.

May God send all of you, and your dear families, comfort and consolation, in your knowing that many, many people loved and cherished their warmth, caring and concern for others. Their lives and their impact will long be remembered.  My condolences, to all of you.
