Good morning, 
I am Martin Hirsch, the youngest son of Dorthy Metcalf Hirsch and Aunt Lillian's nephew by marriage. My mom and Aunt Lillian met at their Job in 1943 at the ripe old age of 18. My Mom introduced her new friend to the family one evening after work. Soon after my Uncle Charlie returned from the Battle of the Bulge a wounded warrior and Purple heart recipient. He had lost some of his toes do to frost bite. My Mom introduced him to Aunt Lillian when he returned from Europe and well the rest is history. They made our Christmas's very special over the years as they would arrive at eight o'clock sharp on every Christmas as far back as I can remember and up until I left for bootcamp. They always stopped at Entenmann's bakery with lots of cakes, three chocolate one's for my sister Fran's chocolate fix. She was very generous, kind and also very candid with us kids. That loud laugh was a sure sign Aunt Lillian was in the house. At age 13 she hustled her brother Paul to give me a summer Job to stay out of trouble. Paul and Leon kept me real busy, and they were fun to work for, my sister was the shipping clerk. May you Rest in Peace and say hello to Uncle Charlie for me.
