I am so so sorry to hear this awful news.  Marcia had been my cat sitter since I moved to Spuyten Duyvil a few years back.  She helped me through my knee replacement surgery with my cats.  I sent her a New Year's greeting, but I did not hear back, which was not like her.  I am planning to go away for a few days and reached out to her but again did not hear back.  So I started googling. 

Marcia was a wonderful person - kind and funny.   I am so sorry

     Marcia will be sorely missed. Her kind heart and sense of humour are what I will remember most about Marcia.  She adored her children and grandchildren and delighted in sharing their accomplishments. She was a great Bubby! My heart goes out to her family knowing how hard this has been for them.
     Her kind heart was open to any animal in need. I called her my kitties Gumada after she saved her life and diligently continued to check on her progress.
I’ll miss meeting up for coffee and laughing at the silliest things.  I’ll always remember Marcia and her unique, loving ways. This is so very sad, a sadness that will be felt by so many of us who loved Marcia.
