Marilyn Berkon

Marilyn "Mindy" Berkon, 66, of Ossining, NY and formerly of Scarsdale, NY died on September 25, 2012 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Jeffrey G. Berkon, her two children, Shep Berkon and Marnie Zolov (Andrew), her granddaughter Avery Brenna Zolov, her three sisters Lorraine Judelman, Eileen Giardina (Anthony), Sheila Bonder Smith (Paul) and her many nieces and nephews.

She was born on 7/22/1946 in New York City to Philip and Ann Bonder and grew up in the Bronx. She excelled in retail for many years working as a buyer and salesperson specializing in infant clothes, baby furniture, and layettes in Westchester.

She was a sweet, loving, and adored wife, mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, and a truly fabulous friend to all. She will be dearly missed and remembered always!

Please make donations in her memory to the charity of your choice. Funeral services will be at Riverside Memorial Chapel at 21 West Broad Street, Mount Vernon, NY on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at noon. Interment will follow at Sharon Gardens in Valhalla, NY.
