Meryl Perlman passed away suddenly on August 28, 2024. She was the beloved wife to Steven Perlman and adored by her daughter, extended family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Perlman, Barbara’s fiancé, Bradford Corbitt, sisters Cindy Goldenberg (née Goldberger), Madeleine Barbara (née Goldberger), and brother-in-law David Goldenberg.
A funeral service for Meryl will be held Sunday, September 1, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Chapel - Hawthorne, 100 Saw Mill River Rd, Hawthorne, NY 10532. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, NY 10595.
Meryl was born on September 9, 1953, to Selma and Arnold Goldberger and grew up in Brooklyn and Long Island. After marrying the love of her life, Steve, they lived many wonderful years, along with their daughter, Barbara, in Ardsley, NY, where Meryl continued to have lifelong friends, who’ve been by her side through all the times of her life.
Meryl loved her time as a Teacher Assistant at Ardsley High School and always looked forward to the beginning of the new school year. She enjoyed meeting the new students and catching up with her colleagues. In her spare time, she enjoyed theater, baking delicious treats, and online shopping. Most of all, Meryl loved being with her people, near and far.
