Morton J. Baum, of Palm Beach, FL, April 3, 1924 to September 10, 2013. Born in Bridgeport, CT to Isidor and Sarah Baum. Chairman New Rochelle Zoning Board, co-founder New Rochelle Neighborhood Revitalization Corp. Officer and Board member of Beth El Synagogue of New Rochelle and Hebrew Home at Riverdale; certified brailler. Officer in family-owned paper manufacturer (APW) and Bridgeport Holding Corp. Loving husband of Elissa Kanner Baum; father of Simeon (Duffie), Deborah (Steve Rubenfeld), and Seth (Laura); grandpa of Sabrina, Gabrielle, Isadora, Jason, Jared, and Kyra Baum. Beloved brother to Seymour and Robert, Claire Goodfriend, Dolly Steinman and Phyllis Cohen, and Gladys Levin and Ruth Cohen (both deceased). Will be deeply missed and always treasured by family and friends. Service at Beth El Synagogue, New Rochelle, Friday at 10am.
