I was sorry to learn about Steve's passing away. He was my accountant many years ago and he always gave me the best advice. I was thinking of him lately and decided to look him up on the internet. To my sorrow I find that he had passed away. He was a great guy.

Steve we miss you greatly. From your warm wit to pleasant early morning conversations about taxes, family and life. You advised us on many things some of which were related to our working relationship but also about the importance of family and friends. Our hearts go out to your loving family. With kind regards to everyone's life that you touched. May you rest in peace.

Dear Steve our friend of 40 years,
  We were in our last year of college (and you were about 25?) when you and Sue moved in across the street from my Mom in Rockland.  Bob would come to stay with me on weekends as a break from law school and the four of us would have so much fun together. That was just the beginning..more fun followed through the years.   Long Beach (although you guys never would come out on the beach until the sun was going down!), your parents upstate place(Evan was our first diaper change experience), the Hamptons mansion, and just being together (you at Sals showing Jessie how you could touch the tip of your tongue to your nose) watching our marriages grow (playing Uno), our families grow(strolling down the street with Alice), our friendship grow (glad you followed us to Westchester after we got married!).  Remember that time when we came home from I think it was Woodstock ("the movable thing") and you got sick, then I got sick- ha ha.  Remember telling us not to listen to our parents who were telling us to rent and you said..buy the condo!  Best decision we ever made.  A lot of decisions were made with your always perfect and susinct advice. Im sure you're up in heaven telling God the best way to go about heaven's work of accounting souls!  And HE is listening!  We wish you were tangibly still here with us.  Telling jokes, making plans.  But we can't say goodbye because for Bob and I you will never be gone.  You are here, a part of us, always. We met at 17 and 18 freshly independent from parental bonds and grew  joyously closer through our new found freedom in the culturally stimulating environment of New York City. We were in love with each other and saw the beauty of life through each other's eyes. Stimulating career growth and marital commitment made life almost perfect. The births of Evan and Russell, our most precious of all creations
Profoundly transformed all our lives as a family infused with love, respect and lots of laughs. A small blossom named Alice 
Recently Burst  forth and joined our family 17 months ago and became Grandpa Steve's "Special Little Girl".
Storytelling,Peek-A-Booing, Playgrounding became foremost in importance on Wednesday Afternoons at 3:00-6:00 PM every week And  during many weekends and vacations..These glorious experiences fortified his resolve to offer each and every client his utmost attention and expertise as a Brilliant, compassionate financial advisor and usually resulted in many  friendships.
This splendid circle of life came to an abrupt and heartbreaking end for all who loved him. As his wife I will continue to keep our love alive thru everlasting soul conversations.  I believe that Soul-mates like Steve and I are eternally connected.
I'm sure he would love to hear from all of you especially when the Knicks start winning again.

Steve will remain in our hearts forever as the wonderful human being he was. We are so saddened to lose him. He has touched so many with his wisdom and kindness. He brightened our lives with his humor and brilliance. Steve will be sorely missed but always remembered with love and admiration.

Steve Frushtick was my financial 'rabbi' since I opened my 1st checking account 40 years ago. In fact, he told me to open that checking account! (I was a starry- eyed freelance artist who kept track of nothing.) 40 years of sharp, smart, whip-fast financial and caring life wisdom is over too soon. He has been a friend and guide to me and my husband through all of life's changes. I resonate with the sentiments found in these pages - Steve, you will be missed. You are missed. It's beyond painful to write these words. I can only hope that you understand how many lives you touched and helped. Thank you.

I can only imagine how deeply the family is feeling the loss of this remarkable human being. Our hearts go out to you all.

Steve was an impressive professional, a unique personality and a genuinely nice guy. I became his client 35 years ago at the start of my freelance illustration career. He always provided unerringly spot-on, no-baloney advice and direction, just right for each particular stage of our financial lives and goals. He clearly understood and cared about the psychological workings of one's financial life as well as the numbers. He was first and foremost our financial therapist".

Steve never offered less than stellar service, never. He returned our phone calls and emails so quickly we could have been his only clients. We marveled at how quickly his mind worked; I was hard-pressed to keep up in my note-taking when we had a meeting. We will both miss him very much.

I echo all of the previous comments and also was the fortunate recipient of Steve's excellent financial counsel years ago.  Steve lived life to the fullest and was able to accomplish so many goals and partake in his physical pursuits by his positive can do will do mindset. He accomplished so much and obviously had such a tremendous impact on so many.  I haven't spoken to him in many years but my memories of him have come to the surface this week.  He truly was an unusually special person in so many ways. God bless him and his loving family.

Steve always described himself as a numbers guy. And he was a genius with numbers.  But here are just some of the words that come to mind when remembering Steve Frushtick:

Brilliant, Interested, Caring, Honest, Quick, Brilliant, Available, Helpful, Tough, Unpretentious, Brilliant, Candid, Funny, Concise, Encouraging, Brilliant, Responsive, Unique, Passionate, Rationale, Brilliant, Critical, Knowledgeable, Economical, Personable, Brilliant, Opinionated, Modest, Loving, New Yorker.

We came to him with our questions, worries, issues, dilemmas etc. about money but much else too  -- and he almost always had the answer that made it better and when he didn't he said I wish I knew. 

Steve had a mind like a steel trap with total recall, a human computer equipped with a huge heart. 

He treated his clients like family, although with clear boundaries, and we his clients revered him like the ultimate father figure. 

Steve: We thank you.  We miss you. We love you. Our lives will never be the same without you.

I only had the privilege of meeting Steve once, but once was all it took to make me feel his aura of empathy and wisdom. Thoreau once said that it's not what you look at that matters, but what you see; Steve looked at spreadsheets, but what he saw were human beings with ideas and desires and flaws and dreams and quirks. He guided each one like a good friend or older relative, with no patience for nonsense and with humor and respect. My partner and I still quote a few of his choice phrases every time we're about to make a sizable business decision; I suspect we'll be doing so for a very long time, and we'll be thinking of Steve every time we do.

Steve and I knew each other since Junior High School--I typically sat behind him in math class, and in French class -- the former we'd confer glassy-eyed, and the later we'd enjoy our caricatures of the teacher.  He was a great friend then, and drove together to attend HS reunions--it was always fun.  He became my accountant when I was going through a divorce and gave me astute financial advice and motivation that unequivocally changed the course of my life.  It was an honor to know such a mensch.

Totally shocked, as I'm sure everyone was.  Fudd was a great guy. A lousy golfer, but a great guy.  Kept himself in shape. Never drank, never smoked.  It's a wake up call to everyone.

I knew Mr. Frushtick from his days at Ridgeway Country Club in White Plains. although I was just an employee, he never hesitated to say hello and take a minute or two for friendly conversation. I have never met a nicer guy.

Always quick to respond, and never shy in expressing his welcomed advice, my wife and I appreciated every dealing we ever had with Steve.  I'm not surprised to hear that friends, family, clients and colleagues alike will miss him so dearly.

Words can not express the profound loss we are feeling…I am feeling.  I have been with Steve for 37 years.  He has been involved in every transition in my life since we met.  He has seen me through divorce, my working transitions, single motherhood, career changes, career partnerships, a new marriage (14 years ago) and retirement.   He never faltered, was always available.  He was a bright light in times of need, a reality check when necessary and I always always felt protected.  Steve was a man of few words and when he spoke I listened…he had such integrity.  I trusted him with everything…everything.  I counted on him being with me/us forever.
When I first met Steve I was going through the beginnings of a divorce.  I was 35 and Steve had to be around 33…a friend introduced us.  Steve became my pillar of strength…my go to person….even more than the divorce attorney at times. After about a year I said…"when are you going to send me a bill for your services?"…his answer…”when you can afford it!”…and the rest is history.  The man was a giant amongst men...he will be sorely missed.
Both my husband Ira and I send our heartfelt condolences to the family Steve loved so dearly.  He was so proud of his sons and his growing family.  
We have an angel in heaven looking down on us.  He left us far too soon.
