
David Olson was born September 23, 1941 in Barron, WI the son of Adolph and Viola (Hansen) Olson. He attended school in Barron and then started working. David worked on an ambulance crew in Chicago, IL and then in Lakewood, CA. He also worked as a painter for several years in California. On April 5, 1980 David was joined in marriage to Sharon Roeglin in Berthoud, CO. David enjoyed hunting, John Wayne and Elvis Presley movies. He loved being a Dad and Grandpa and being with his family was the most important thing to him.
David is survived by his wife, Sharon; four children, David Olson Jr. of Rice Lake, WI, Cindy (Tony) Magana of Rice Lake, WI, Chris (Rigo Yepez) Olson of Winchester, CA, Cathy Magana of Virginia; two step children, Matthew Klimowicz of Racine, WI, Cindy Williams of Watertown, WI; 16 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers-in-law Eugene (Mavis) Roeglin, and Charles Roeglin, both of Racine, WI; sister-in-law Joyce (Ron) Casperson, AZ; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters and one brother.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16th at the Wesleyan Church in Stone Lake, WI with Pastor Tim Young officiating. A time of gathering with family and friends was held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.
