

John William Toutant was born on October 22, 1924, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to parents William A. and Anna (Kohler) Toutant. He served in the US Army from July 1943 until April 1946 during WWII. After his honorable discharge, Jack received a degree from Marquette Dental School. While attending Marquette Dental School, he was united in marriage to Marcelaine Jane Gulke in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on June 15, 1950. Jack practiced dentistry starting in 1952 in Cambria, then continued at Beaver Dam, and then at the Waupun Correctional Institute until 1986 while living in the Fox Lake area, and then retiring to enjoy the Diamonds on the lake in the north woods near Hayward. Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman throughout his life in both the Fox Lake and Hayward areas.
Jack is survived by his wife Marcelaine “Marcy”, children: Peter (Jeri) Toutant of Markesan, WI, Paul (Patricia) Toutant of Fox Lake, WI, Ann of Fox Lake, WI, Denise (Robert) TerBeest of Rhinelander, WI, 9 grandchildren: Lisa, Jennifer, Christopher, John (Amy) Jeff (Anna) Jason, Joshua (Emily) Toutant, Adam and Olivia TerBeest, 10 great grandchildren, and brother Dr. Richard (Joan) Toutant of Illinois.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents and infant twin sister.
