
Robert Richard Reiff was born April 18, 1939 in Mount Carmel, IA the son of Robert Henry and Susan Marie (Daniel) Reiff. Bob was raised in Mount Carmel and graduated from high school there. He joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Duluth, MN where he also worked at Gaida’s Service Station. It was there that Bob met the love of his life Judith Gaida. Bob and Judy were married on September 23, 1961 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Duluth, MN. Together they lived in Duluth, Ankeny, IA, and Minnetonka, MN, and then settled in Hayward, WI. Bob was a successful salesman, manager, and owned and operated many businesses over his lifetime. Ultimately he fulfilled his dream when he and Judy bought and operated Hayward Motors from 1987 to 1995. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, softball, basketball, fishing, boating, horseback riding, and watching westerns with any family member. His favorite activities were cheering for his children and grandchildren at any event and traveling with Judy throughout the country in their motorhome. Bob had the ability to fix anything and was quite the handyman for his children as they established homes of their own. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayward and enjoyed serving on the Hayward Hawks board for many years.
Bob is survived by his four children, Amy (Patrick) Minea of Edina, MN, Bob (Lisa) Reiff of Barrington, IL, Sally (Shaun) Hendrickson of Plymouth, MN, Andy (Stacy) Reiff of Victoria, MN; eight grandchildren, Alyssa, Bobby, Max, Abby, Jack, Cole, Ben and Zach; three sisters, Louise Schlorholtz, Margaret “Bubbles” Baumhover, Karen Schouten, all of Carroll, IA; one brother, Raymond (Ethel) Reiff of Carroll, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Judy; sister, Marian Polka and brother, Paul Reiff.
