Al was a furniture finisher most of his life, but also worked for Safeway and Knott’s Berry farm. He served his country in the US Army, he was a Korean War Veteran and a combat Veteran. He was a member of the VFW in Sun City. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering around the house.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ophelia; his loving children and their families, Bill Viayra, Rosalie Vargas and Valerie Cardenas; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 10-11am at Miller-Jones Mortuary 26770 Murrieta Rd., Sun City, Ca 92586, with services and military honors at 11am.
He will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery.
