Anthony Iacono

Anthony "Tony" Iacono, 93, of Hemet, CA passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Brookdale in Hemet, CA. Born on August 21, 1922 in New York City, NY; he was the son of the late Salvatore and Anna Iacono.

A veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, Tony enlisted in the Coast Guard as an Apprentice Seaman on November 14, 1942 and was honorably discharged as a Seaman First Class on March 28, 1946. During his service, Tony met the love of his life, Gerry. They were married for 59 wonderful years. Gerry passed away in 2007.

Longtime beloved residents of the valley, Tony and Gerry had moved to Hemet in 1959. They were original members of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community. Tony was an accomplished General Contractor and is known for constructing some of the most beautiful homes in the valley.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Anna Maria Martin and her husband Fred; son, August Iacono and his wife Robin; daughter, Stephanie Record; daughter, Yvonne Arnold and her husband John; sister, Mary Reese; grandson, Justin Martin and his wife Kimberly; grandson, Dominic Iacono; grandson, Brandon Martin and his wife Nikki; granddaughter, Andrea Iacono; great-granddaughters, Malorri Metzger and Gabriella Martin; and great-grandsons, Brody Martin, Keegan Martin, and Kash Martin.

Memorial contributions may be made in Tony's name to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
