Arthur Alexander Bennett Jr. of Redlands, California joined his Mother and Father in Jesus's arms on Saturday, March 3, 2012. He was 82 years old. He was the son of Arthur Bennett Sr. and Irene Slavinski Bennett of Chicago, Illinois.
Arthur served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He then earned his college degree from the University of Montana, became a pharmacist, and a successful business owner of four pharmacies in Southern California for over 35 years.
Art was passionate about the things that interested him. He was an enthusiastic follower of the political scene. He devoured information about The Civil War and European history. He had a fervent interest in his Polish heritage. Art loved to watch, criticize, dissect, and debate basketball and football games with anyone willing to join him -especially if the Los Angeles Lakers or Notre Dame's Fighting Irish were involved.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Janet Bennett, seven children: Arthur Bennett III, Raymond Bennett, Stanley Bennett, Marci Mebane, Deborah Allen, Milly Woodhouse, Walter Bennett, and ten grandchildren.
