Benito Vigil

Surrounded by family, Benito Vigil, 79, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at his residence in Hemet, California. Benito was born on Sunday, November 22, 1942, in Springer, New Mexico to his late parents Vicente and Cecilia (Romero) Vigil.

Benito was an adventurous man who served the Air Force for twenty years, and proudly retired as a Master Sergeant. In 1970, while being stationed in Germany during The Vietnam War, Benito met and married the love of his life Hannelore (Ungar) Vigil, and the couple spent forty nine amazing years together. Benito was a handsome, loving, giving, hardworking man with a lot of knowledge that made him grow and accomplish a lot in life. He enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, meditating, animals and being at his garage relaxing and napping.

He is survived by his lovely wife Hannelore, his beautiful children; Benito Vigil Jr. (Jill), Gabriel Vigil (Heather), seven adorable grandchildren, his siblings; Rose Cortez, Marie Vigil, Mable Vigil, Joe Vigil, Johnny Vigil, and Rudy Vigil. Benito was an extraordinary husband, father, and grandfather who will be truly missed.
