Bert Wheeler

Bert L Wheeler, 73 of Hemet, California passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Hemet Global Medical Center in Hemet, California. He was born on Tuesday, October 7, 1947 and was the son of the late Andrew and Hilma Wheeler. He was married to the love of his life for 52 years to Lilah Wheeler who recently passed away in July 2021. Bert was very family oriented and was a deacon for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. He worked for the telephone company for over 30 years before he retired. He enjoyed reading spy and science fiction novels. He will be missed by all that knew him and loved him. Surviving is his son, Glenn Wheeler and daughter Keri Thomas and brothers Bob and Jeff Wheeler. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 701 N. Sanderson Avenue, Hemet, California followed by a funeral service at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Immediately following the services, a graveside service will be at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:45pm with military honors.
