"Testing... Testing... Testing... Mic number one...We have an announcement to make, we have a new soundman for the Heavenly Choir of Angels...Please help me welcome, Bill A. Scott!" Bill Scott went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in Hemet, California surrounded by his loving family.
Bill could fix everything and anything and he did. He enjoyed working on cars and bicycles. He even built a ping pong table. He was most proud of building a complete state of the art sound system for First Southern Baptist Church in El Monte, California for the Sound Foundation Singers from Azusa Pacific. He traveled with this choir as their sound technician. He loved music, whether a gospel quartet or an acapella choir. He had an amazing bass voice.
He was a technician for the Gas Company for 41 years and was a member of the Gas Company Retirees Association. He was an avid traveler. He and his beautiful wife Peggy of 63 years, traveled to Europe and the far east. Together they ministered as Missionaries in Hong Kong, Seoul Korea, Bangkok, and Singapore, to name just a few of the great countries and the great experiences they shared.
Bill was known for being a dependable man, a man of upmost integrity. He loved his family greatly and was a best friend to his wife, Peggy. He was always learning and curious about how things worked. Bill had a wild sense of humor and a grin and sparkle in his eye that lit up his whole face. Memories of his favorite saying, "that must of gone down the 'Tuesday Pipe'" will be in the minds and hearts of all those that were fortunate enough to hear him.
He will be dearly missed but forever loved by his wife, Peggy, and his sons Les and Dana. His son Paul and his wife Rose are deeply saddened by his passing. To mourn his passing but cherish their memories with him will be his grandchildren; Kristen, Lowell and his wife Cherrine, Nathan, Melissa and her husband Matthew, Kaleigh, Jeremy and his wife Heather, Jennifer and her husband Tom and Isaac. Bill touched many lives and will be truly missed by a host of extended family members and friends and all those who were honored to know him and who loved him.
