

He married four times: Oma Evans, Beulah Harrell, Virginia Husted, and Arlene Lee.
He had a daughter with Oma. He had two sons and two daughters with Beulah.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in May 1945 and went to basic training in Virginia. He went to Quartermaster and Army Engineer School. He became skilled in building transportation equipment (except automobiles and aircraft).
Music was very important throughout his life. He had his first saxophone at age 12 and was still playing the organ at age 80. He also played the clarinet and tuba. In his younger years he was a member of many orchestras.
He was also very involved with the Masons and the Shriners. He was a member of the Vincennes, IN Lodge and the Hemet, CA Lodge.
He lived in numerous places around the country - Indiana, Illinois, Georgia, Nebraska, Oregon and California. In his retirement years he enjoyed traveling around the country with Arlene to fiddle playing and square dancing events and contests.
In his later years he learned how to use a computer and the Internet. He corresponded with other Camps around the country trying to learn if they were related. He made a lot of friends even though they weren’t family.
He died on November 5, 2015, in San Jacinto, California, at the age of 98. He was preceded in death by his former wives and his wife of almost 35 years, Arlene, his daughter, Thelma, and son Reginald. He is survived by his daughters, Carla and Beverly (Stacy) and son Jeffrey, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
