Carl Edward Vaughn

Carl Edward Vaughn, 88, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. He was born on November 19, 1933 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to his parents, Jasper and Ruby Vaughn. Carl was born and raised in Fort Smith and lived only a couple blocks away from the girl that would become the love of his life, Libby. The two dated in high school, and eventually got married on September 22, 1951. They were married for 70 incredible years. Carl worked in church administration for over 40 yrs. He was also the loving father of his three children.

Carl loved to travel and had exciting adventures together with Libby in the states and throughout the world. He was a faithful member of his church and a dedicated man of God. He was preceded in death by his wife Libby Vaughn, parents, Jasper Vaughn, Ruby Chastain, his son Robert Vaughn.

Carl is survived by his son Carl "Skip" (Nancy) Vaughn Jr., his daughter, Sandy (Doug) Hotalen, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

The family has opted for a private celebration of their father / grandfather's life. The viewing and interment are open to whomever wishes to attend.
