Carlos and Laurie Castro passed away in a car accident on Friday, May 6th, 2011 in Temecula, California. Both Carlos and Laurie were born in Hacienda Heights, California, met in high school and married a time after.
Both had a love of the outdoors, from cycling and whitewater rafting to taking care of their large property and horses. They spent hours relaxing on the patio watching hawks and hot-air balloons.
Carlos worked more than 25 years for a water district, had become a master cook in recent years. He loved to feed a crowd.
Laurie, who worked with medical records at Hemet Valley Medical Center, relished kayaking and horseback rides with the grandchildren.
They are survived by their children, Aaron, Grace, Andrea and David and their four grandchildren along with their siblings.
A memorial service will be on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 10:00am at Longshadow Ranch Winery at 39847 Calle Contento, Temecula, California 92591.
