Catherine Snyder

Catherine "Cathy" M. Snyder, age 87, lived for the past 4 years in Anaheim, CA at Family Choice Senior Care where she passed away on February 13, 2012. Cathy was born December 31, 1924 in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Richard William Briel and the late Catherine Mary (Padagomis) Briel. Cathy lived in Downey, CA, where she and husband, Rolly, raised 3 children. She was a secretary with Bechtel Power Corporation and retired after 24 years. She moved to Sun City where she was a member of the Faith Lutheran church. Cathy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and knitting, puzzles and penny poker with her many friends. She was always ready to hear a good joke and tell some too.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Rolland Johnson and her daughter Sharon Hauser, her siblings Sylvester, Margaret and Robert. She is survived by her daughter: Barbara Locantore; son: Glenn H. Johnson; one sister: Dolores Kerchelich; brothers: Richard Briel & James Briel; five grandchildren; Glenn C. Johnson, Eric Johnson, Gina Locantore, Jill Locantore, Gary Hauser.

Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory Hemet , 1501 W. Florida Avenue , Hemet , CA .

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
