Charles A. Lucas, age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2014 in Hemet, California. Charles was born on Friday, May 25, 1928 in Roanoke, Virginia to W. D. and Margaret Lucas. Charles proudly served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He served as a Deputy Sheriff for Orange County for more than 15 years. Charles loved the outdoors and after retiring, he moved to Mountain Center where he and Charlotte could experience the beauty of the mountains and the wildlife daily. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte; 3 daughters; and a sister. Services will be held privately. Charles touched many lives and will be truly missed by all those who were honored to know him and who loved him.
