Charles William Mayo Sr.

Charles William Mayo Sr., age 79, of Moreno Valley, California, passed away, Sunday, March 8, 2015, in Moreno Valley, California. He was born on Wednesday, July 17, 1935 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Jesse Mayo and the late Adelaide Mayo. He was the loving husband of Ruth May, who passed away July 10, 2013, for over 52 years. He served his country honorably in the Navy and retired after 22 years of dedicated service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed, but forever loved.

Those left to mourn his passing, but cherish his memory are his children, Charles Mayo Jr., Steven Mayo, Katrina Seber, Mary Ann McCarley, Rebecca Mayo and Jesse Mayo, 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Miller-Jones Moreno Valley Mortuary, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley, California, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Funeral service will be at St. Christopher Catholic Church at 10 AM, Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Committal service will be at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California, following the funeral service, staging area # 4.
