Charlotte Roberta Higgins

Charlotte Higgins, 79 of Hemet, CA passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Hemet, CA. She was born on Monday, July 19, 1937 in Petersburg VA, to the late John and Una Slate. She was married to the love of her life, Willard Higgins for over 56 year until his passing on February 11, 2016. Charlotte worked for Household Financial Company starting at the age of 19 and working herself up through the ranks to the corporate office for 30 years. Once retired Willard and Charlotte traveled the country with their RV for about 5 years and visited many states. They were also part of the Hemet Country Carvers for many years. She enjoyed painting and being creative. Charlotte loved visiting with the grand kids, playing games and outdoor activities. Her family describes her as honest, sincere, sweet, giving, and a good listener. Charlotte will be missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son Russell Higgins and his wife Tammy, grandchildren Jeromy Higgins and his wife Kelly and Tiffany Ellis; great grandchildren Lyla Higgins and Zoey Higgins. Services will be at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Boulevard Riverside Wednesday, May 3, 2017 11:01 AM, staging area # 5.
