

Christopher Pacheco Sanchez, a true American Soldier was born on Wednesday, February, 8, 1922 to parents; Abraham and Reyes Sanchez. He passed away in Hemet, California on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 33 years, Joan.
Chris was very proud of his Military Service, not only in World War II, but later as part of the Memorial Honor Detail Team 45, VFW Post 220, and the Elks Club. An extremely patriotic man, he loved serving his Country.
Chris was a Chef by trade for over 63 years. He owned a restaurant in Dana Point. He found great joy in cooking. So much so that when he retired, he decided to open a catering business in Hemet. He especially enjoyed cooking for his friends' special occasions. When there was a private party or a neighborhood gathering, you could always find Chris in the center. He was in his element, cooking for all, making friends, ensuring that everyone was enjoying themselves.
He was a generous, kind and thoughtful man. Joan recalled fondly that he would say to her after a meal, "Leave the kitchen, Joan. I'll do that for you." He became a big Pittsburgh Steeler fan to cheer for the town where Joan came from. He loved his family and was a doting grandfather and uncle. And last, but not least, he loved his dog, Gretel.
Chris will be dearly missed by his wife, Joan, his sons, David and Larry, his daughter, Rose, his brother, Danny and his sister, Delia. He will be remembered lovingly also by his Nephew Andrew and his family. Chris will also be fondly remembered by his step-son, Mark and his step-daughter, Maggie. There will be a great many family members that will miss and have fond memories of Chris.
Chris's thoughtfulness touched and left a mark on the lives of many people. He will be truly missed by all those who were honored to know him and who loved him.
