Claudia Ceja McGonigle

Claudia came into this world in January of 1985 in Jaripo, Municipal de Villamar, Mexico. Graduated from Cal State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies and was pursuing a degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. She was married to Mark David McGonigle in June of 2019.

She spent the first 7 years of her life growing up in Villamar solidifying her love for Jesus and strong family bonds. She then moved to Fontana, California, United States of America where she strengthen both her faith and love for family while learning a new language, customs, and how to share with her younger siblings. Her parents instilled the importance of an education in her and her siblings. So she decided to pursue a degree in Marketing while working her way up at AT&T. In 2009 she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She put her education and career on hold while she fought this new hurdle that entered her life. Although MS took her ability to walk it did not take her spirit and determination for a fulfilling life.

She returned to school and began pursuing her Bachelor’s degree again with even stronger determination. In 2016 she met Mark and their love story began. Together they had many new experiences together like Claudia’s first time eating sushi and first baseball game and Mark’s first bowl of pozole and his first trip to Jaripo for the Fiestas patronizes de la virgen de la inmaculada Concepcion. In November of 2017, Mark surprised Claudia with a wedding proposal at Downtown Disney while having a caricature sketch done of them in Beauty and the Beast outfits, Claudia’s favorite movie. She loved admiring her ring in low light and watching how it sparkled. While planning her wedding plans with Mark she finished school and received her Bachelor’s degree in 2018.

Claudia then enrolled into the Master program for Rehabilitation Counselling. She knew that with the life experiences she had lived she could provide an unique perspective to others having to cope with traumatic life changes.

Claudia and Mark were married in June of 2019 on a Carnival Cruise surrounded by loved ones. Claudia was absolutely stunning and smiling the entire ceremony and reception. She and Mark laughed that evening about how much their faces hurt from smiling so much. She had an amazing time on her honeymoon enjoying delicious food, tasty drinks, and lots of laughs at the comedy shows.

Family was undoubtedly of the most importance to Claudia. She loved getting together with everyone to celebrate milestones and accomplishments as well as simply to share some of her husband’s barbecue or the latest Mexican dish he had learned to make for her. Everywhere Claudia went people gravitated towards her. She has many friends at every place she frequented who would visit with her as she ran errands or grabbed a bite to eat. She had a passion for gardening both her beloved succulent garden and fruits and vegetables. A large section of the vegetable garden being dedicated to ingredients for salsa to be made in the molcajete given to Claudia and Mark by her parents. Claudia also loved animals deeply. Especially her dog Copper, her underwater friends inhabiting her fish tank, and the wild donkeys that inhabit the hills and canyons near her home.

Claudia was survived by her Husband Mark, Father Miguel, Mother Livier, Sister Tanya, Brother Miguel, and Brother Franco.

Claudia nació en enero del 1985 en Villamar, Michoacán, Mexico. Claudia se graduó con su bachillerato en Estudios Liberales en la universidad estatal de California San Bernardino. También, Claudia estaba logrando una maestría en Asesoramiento de Rehabilitacion. Claudia Ceja Mora y Mark David McGonigle se casaron el 30 de Junio, 2019.

Claudia pasó su primer 7 años en Villamar, Michoacán, México solidificando su amor para Jesús Cristo y estableció su amor y cariño para sus abuelos. Después de 7 años, Claudia se mudo para Fontana, California, EEUU en donde creció más su amor y fe para su familia en lo que aprendía un nuevo idioma, costumbres, y creció amar a sus hermanos y hermana. Sus papás inculcó la importancia de educación en ella y sus hermanos. En lo que Claudia trabajo en AT&T su primera profesión fue en Marketing. En el año 2009 ella fue diagnosticada con esclerosis múltiple. Por causo de su enfermedad puso su trabajo y carrera a lado. Aunque MS puso su habilidad para caminar nunca afectó su espíritu y determinación para lograr sus deseos.

Claudia regreso a la universidad para obtener su bachillerato. En el año 2016, fue cuando conoció a Mark y su historia amorosa empezó. Los dos juntos tuvieron nueva experiencias, por ejemplo, por primera vez probó sushi y asistió su primer juego de béisbol con Mark. Mark por primera vez tuvo su primer plato de pozole y su primer vacaciones en Jaripo, Michoacan para atender las fiestas patrocina de la virgen de la inmaculación de Concepción. En Noviembre del 2017, Mark le dio la propuesta de boda a Claudia en Downtown Disney en lo que tuvieron un bosquejo de caricatura de la Bella y la Bestia, la película favorita de Claudia. Claudia admiro su anillo de propuesta y le fascino como brillaba. Mientras planeaba sus planes de boda con Mark ella termina la universidad y obtenido su bachillerato en el año 2018.

En obtener su bachillerato Claudia se inscribió de nueva a la universidad para obtener su maestría en Asesoramiento de Rehabilitacion. Ella supo que con su experiencia de vida ella podía haber proporcionado una perspectiva única a los demás que tienen que hacer frente a cambios traumáticos de la vida.

Claudia y Mark se casaron en junio de 2019 en un crucero Carnival rodeado de seres queridos. Claudia fue absolutamente impresionante y sonrió durante toda la ceremonia y recepción. Mark y ella se rieron esa noche sobre cuánto les dolía la cara al sonreír demasiado. Pasó un tiempo increíble en su luna de miel disfrutando de deliciosas comidas, deliciosas bebidas y muchas risas y el espectáculo de comedia.

La familia fue sin duda la más importante para Claudia. Le encantaba reunirse con todos para celebrar hitos y logros, así como simplemente compartir algo de la barbacoa de su esposo o el último plato mexicano que había aprendido a preparar para ella. Por todas partes

Claudia fue la gente gravitó hacia ella. Ella tiene muchos amigos en cada lugar que frecuentaba que la visitaban mientras hacía recados o comía algo. Le apasionaba la jardinería, tanto su amado jardín suculento como las frutas y verduras. Una gran parte del huerto está dedicada a los ingredientes para la salsa que se preparará en el molcajete que sus padres les dieron a Claudia y Mark. Claudia también amaba a los animales profundamente. Especialmente su perro Copper, sus amigos submarinos que habitan en su pecera y los burros salvajes que habitaban las colinas y los cañones cerca de su casa.

A Claudia le sobrevivieron su esposo Mark, su padre Miguel, su madre Livier, su hermana Tanya, su hermano Miguel y su hermano más joven, Franco.
