Passed away peacefully on May 26, 2012 in Sun City, California. He was born on October 8, 1923 in Carroll, Nebraska to the late Clifford and Maude Arthur.
Clifford served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 32 years, at his retirement, he was a Master Gunnery Sergeant. He served in a combat role during WWII, in a support role in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. After serving in the Marine Corps, he worked for Hughes Aircraft until his retirement. He was a member of the Fleet reserve, American Legion and the VFW.
He is survived by his two sons, Thomas and Joel Arthur; his sister, Ruth Van Auken; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
