

To quote her friends, "On June 21, 2012, the world became a lesser place."
Cori lost a year-long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Richard Cox, her daughter, Tasia Cox, her mother, Vicki Puterbaugh, stepfather, Jerry Throckmorton, brother, Vincent Puterbaugh. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Puterbaugh.
Cori was born September 21, 1962 in Landstuhl, Germany. After completing high school in Sunnyvale, Ca. she worked for Apple Computer. At age 21 she was their youngest trade show coordinator. In 1984 Cori married Raymond Cushing and moved to Las Vegas. There she owned and operated a landscape company. She later managed an art reproduction company for renowned western artist, Roy Purcell.
She relocated to Temecula in 1994, For17 years she worked in real estate with her mother, Vicki Puterbaugh. Her creative and giving nature shined through in all her activities. In her two year term as Ladies of Harley Officer, she created the Early Harvest Poker Run as a fundraiser for the Temecula and Murrieta Pantries. She was an enthusiastic supporter for REINS, Habitat for Humanity and Temecula Elks Lodge 2801.
Cori's wit, wisdom, loyalty and ethics enriched the lives of her friends and family. She left an indelible impact on all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to either Hospice of the Valley, St Martha's Murrieta Pantry or Animal Shelter of the Valley.
