Cula was a native Californian and a proud “flag-waver”, as she called herself. She was an accomplished piano player and an award-winning seamstress. She was a member of the International Society Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved music and her family. She attended countless track and swim meets, dance and piano recitals, football, soccer and baseball games, Drill Team competitions and choir concerts in support of her children and grandchildren.
Cula was a graduate of South Gate High School in 1959, and attended two years of Brigham Young University—Provo before serving a mission in Hawaii for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1965-67. She loved Hawaii, and travelled there many more times.
Cula worked in escrows for Security Pacific Bank in the 1960s and 1970s, and worked in Payroll at Cal Poly Pomona from 1994-2006
She married Paul Farnsworth in 1968, and celebrated 43 years of marriage before Paul preceded her in death in 2011.
Mrs Farnsworth was very active in her Church; serving as pianist, organist, Primary President, Relief Society President and Visiting Teacher. Her favorite was Primary chorister, teaching the young children to sing.
