David Arthur Chavez, age 88, of Corona, California passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023. David was born in Wilmington, California. Art is how everyone knew him by. He was the son of the late Manuel Steve Chavez and the late Hortense (Marquez) Chavez. Art served our country proudly in the Air Force. He served from July 11, 1955 to July 10, 1959. He was a maintenance mechanic in the aerospace industry for 25 years. Art was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Cleona Chavez, his son Steven Chavez, his daughter Wanda Payton and step son Rick Melchert.
He is survived by his children, Ricky Chavez, Larry Chavez, Relynn Roper, Lori Norman, step son Randy Melchert, 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Art's final resting place will be at Riverside National Cemetery.
