Diane, my heart is broken but at the same time I know you are at peace.  Finally.  You were my best friend in high school.
 So SMART.  I remember our math teacher would beg you to stay after to tutor the football guys. LOL!  You always would wear a tough shell (which you were) that no one would have ever known how smart you were just by seeing you.  You would always act like you didn’t want to help them but you would.
So LOYAL.  Honestly, I couldn’t name one person that wouldn’t be there quicker than you were if they needed you. 
Your SMILE.  You could light up the darkest of days with that smile. I can still picture it in my head. 
So Undeniably HILARIOUS!   Which is why your nickname was Giggles. You were the funniest person I’ve ever known.  Always had jokes ready to tell. The only problem is, no matter how many times you told the same joke, you could never finish it because you couldn’t get through it without cracking up.   Until the day your brother Carlos past.  It was like a light switch in your head that just shut off and was never able to turn back on completely.  A dimmer of light would appear sometimes here and there. But that light in you never completely returned.   When you had Lorenzo I would see that smile appear more however.  I know he was able to open your heart up again somewhat.  But I wish I wasn’t so young to not realize you were probably...most definitely screaming inside for help.  I hadn’t walked in your shoes and you were always so strong and too prideful to ask for help.  I wish when I moved you could have moved with me.  I fee so guilty not being able to help you.  You were so much more than what life dealt you.  I wish all of your children could have gotten the chance to know the Diane I knew. Or perhaps they did. I pray they did. We are all responsible for our own actions but I know (through you) that sometimes the strongest people with the biggest hearts actually have the hardest times recovering from trauma.  I know Jesus has healed you.  I know all your pain, guilt, mental and physical suffering is gone. Oh, how wonderful and light your spirit must feel.  We will catch up someday, this we can be sure of.

I grew up with her brother carlo Garcia jr. I have so many memories of all the Garcia family. Diane smile used to light up the room I will miss her. Rest in peace  lil sis. My condolences to the Garcia familt

When we were children, I was always excited when we got to go over to my cousin's house on Baseline next to the laundromat, I loved that house, it was always an adventure, inside and outside!! Chata, the Chihuahua and I forgot the parrot's name, lol. But, yes my cousin was full of life and love, a super beautiful and big smile she always wore, except when you made her upset, she will stomp you out!! One time we all decided to go to 5th Street park or rather Soccombe park to go fishing, she liked that, my cousin Freddie had the bike and cousin Diane rode on the handle bars, and us younger ones had to walk and keep up, everything was well until we got to baseline bridge, my knees buckled and on the ground I sat, I could not move any further, I was so scared looking down......that all changed when the brakes went out on the bike my cousin's were on coming down the other side of the bridge, I guess my cousin Diane clenched her feet into the wheels so hard trying to stop the bike, that the spoke grinded into her ankle and made a hole!!!!! I ran down to her side, she was cussing and crying a little bit, she was so strong, a very strong woman!! She had her own way of dealing with all the pain. Suffer no more cousin, you are with our Heavenly Father! You are always treasured in my heart!! Love, your cousin Evelyn Rose
