

Don is survived by his Mother Zelda, Wife Margie, married 46 years, his three children Tina, Beth and Bill. His children and grandchildren, who gave Don his purpose for each day in driving them to school, attending each of their events, surprising them at lunch or just a quick phone call or text letting them know how much he cared.Don proudly served his Country and his family with great honor, pride and quiet faith.
Don served with distinction on the USS Enterprise and with VA164 GHOST RIDERS ATTACK SQUADRON on the Naval Carrier USS Hancock that flew tactical sorties during Operation Freedom Train, was awarded Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal(Korea) Meritorious Unit Citation (Gallantry Cross).
Don served as an Air Reserve Technician "ART" working with dual status Civil Service Employee and as active Reserve Component of the USAF, joined the men and women of the 303rd Air Rescue Unit performing search and rescue, medical evacuation missions, escort missions for aircraft deploying to the pacific, provided fire support on the ground,in the air to the U. S. Forest Service in the Western U.S. and with the 943rd Maintenance Squadron that deployed personnel and equipment world-wide, airlifting troops, and performing aeromedical evacuations they rotated crews and aircraft to Panama in support of U.S. operations in the Canal Zone, they also deployed personnel in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
