Donald Reed

Born Monday, July 25, 1921 in Sedgwick, Kansas, he was the son of the late Vaney Reed and the late Susie Reed. He spent most of his childhood attending school and working on the family farm. After he graduated from high school, he enlisted in the Navy and proud fully served for 25 years and retire with the rank of Chief. After he retired from the navy, he continued to work in the aerospace industry for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed watching sports. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Menifee Valley.

Donald is survived by his Step-Daughter Roberta Lee Motter of Menifee, His Grandson Ed Burtnette of Vista, CA, his Granddaughters Lori Soltas of Fairfax, VA and Lisa Gritzner of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by his Great-Grandchildren Heather Burtnette, Amber Burtnette, Joe Soltas, and Jessie Soltas.

Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations on behalf of Donald Reed be sent to www.valleyresourcecenter.org they are a 501 C3 nonprofit that sends care packages every month to the military. Since Mr. Reed spent 25 years in the Military the family feels giving back to the Military would make him very happy.
