I heard our chimes ring so much today. I think Donna was looking down on us. We miss her so very much. Always in our hearts with love.

It is so touching to read all of the condolences for Donna. I feel like I know her so much better after hearing how she touched so many lives. I hope it helps her family to know how thoughtful and helpful she was to others...helping them through life, using her life experiences to guide and support others. Not everyone can do that for others, the way Donna has. She had a special gift. Donna's pain and fight for life is over, but she is living in heaven and watching over all of her loved ones, we all blessed to have known her. Donna is at peace now, she has found her way to the heavens and is with her family, free at last. God bless Donna and her family.

Over the last ten years we, Brian specifically has experienced many losses of family members. The world often felt lonely, lacking the presence of a Mother, Grandmother for our children, Father, Grandfather to our children, along with several other losses of family members. During each of these events Brandon and Jessica always remained our strong support system, being there for us, supporting us, as our family would if they could be here. Taking care of our children, or simply hanging out at their house and being with friends/family, a awesome support system. During the times of life worth celebration, not only were Brandon and Jessica there, Donna was always there, filling the void, granting us the presence of a mother figure, grandmother figure. Donna and Jess organized my baby shower, truly enjoyed and loved my children, and was always interested in our lives. This is why Donna holds her own special place in my heart, because not only was she a constant steady presence, she was a joyful, loving, validating presence. I am forever grateful for her, as well as Brandon and Jessica. Donna has taught me how to love your family because there was no question the way she loved her own family, and through this gave Brandon this love for his family and friends and in turn passed that to us through the support he and Jess have continually and unwaveringly offered our own family. I have learned family is not only defined by the blood which runs through our veins but by the people God blesses our lives with, to fill the gaps that were made along the road of life, by the people who value and love you enough to step into the place in your life and heart that urns for family. I will miss Donna's hugs, her laugh and sense of humor, her joy and support. I will always remember and be forever grateful for these gifts she has given us, not only directly through her own actions but through her children and their meaningful roles in our lives. Love you all more then words can express, or you may possibly know. Brandon, Jess, Ian and Britt and the rest of Donna's family, I know if she made this impact on our lives, the impact on your own was great, from the bottom of my heart I am so sorry for your loss and we love you all, thank you for being who you are, you and your Mom are a beautiful piece of life, and people we are proud to call Family.

To Brandon, (Jess), Ian and Brittany, words cannot express my heartfelt condolences ., Losing a parent is the most painful experience one will ever experience. I pray that the LORD will give you comfort during this time. Although Donna has gone home to be with the LORD, she leaves a legacy. When I heard of her passing, my mind immediately went back in time to the place that saved my life (Crossroads New Life Ministry), it was there I had the opportunity to meet Donna, and she had an impact on my life and in my recovery. She also played a very important role in the lives of my children, she will forever be remembered for all the wonderful ways she gave. I am truly saddened that I never got to say "Thank YOU" Donna, thank you for praying for me, wiping my tears, guiding me, being there for my children and for simply just loving us and investing your time in my recovery. I pray that one day, I am able to give something back like you did in the lives of so many people. May you rest in peace, I know there's a crown waiting for you. To all Donna's friends and family my heart goes out to all of you. I have known Donna since I was a little girl and I will truly miss her. She helped so many people and had such big heart. I remember living right next door to her and just hanging out the window and we would all just talk. She was always there to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Donna I love and miss you! I am filled with joy knowing you are at peace and in no more pain. You will never be forgotten.
