Ed spent his career helping the youth. He was passionate about helping children and families. He worked for ChildNet Youth and Family Services for over 15 years and most recently Uplift Family Services, as well as many group homes.
Ed Moved from Wisconsin to LA in 1998. He managed bands, a few ‘D List’ actors and DJ’d in Hollywood while working on finishing his degree. He also worked at a group home. He lived in an apartment building in LA filed with elderly Russian people who didn’t speak English and he loved it! In 2003 Ed was blessed to meet his son Patrick whom he dearly loved and moved to Long Beach, then Bellflower. Ed met Brooke in 2014 at a Disney event. They married in 2016 and grew their family shortly thereafter.
Friends and family fondly remember Ed as the most kind and caring individual, one could be so lucky to know! He was great at staying in touch with a call, text, email or Facebook comment. You could always count on Ed to send a meme. He had an encyclopedic mind when it came to music and concerts. He could spout a fact about a concert from 30 years ago. Tell him a date and he would tell you the location, bands and set lists. Ed enjoyed everything Disney - from visiting the Parks to movies and merchandise. He was a collector of music, movies, POP figures and of course a fan of Star Wars, Avengers and The Simpsons. He could quote scenes from all. He loved pop culture, video games and spending time with family and friends. Ed & Brooke hoped to visit all Disney resorts around the world. They checked off 3 (CA, FLA & Paris). He even made it to Ireland, Scotland and France! Ed accomplished so much in his young life! He is so loved and will be greatly missed!
“Remember me
Though I have to say goodbye
Remember me
Don't let it make you cry
For ever if I'm far away
I hold you in my heart
I sing a secret song to you
Each night we are apart
Remember me
Though I have to travel far
Remember me
Each time you hear a sad guitar
Know that I'm with you
The only way that I can be
Until you're in my arms again
Remember me” - Coco
Celebrations of life will be held in Racine, WI and Southern California at later dates.
