Edward Rhoads Mays, age 89, of Moreno Valley, California, passed away, Thursday, June 13, 2019, in Moreno Valley, California. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on January 22, 1930 to Sterling and Viola Mays.
Edward served his country honorably in the Air Force. Soon after serving his country, he began his career in the Aerospace field. He enjoyed spending time with his family and writing poetry with his wife, Eileen. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Those left to cherish his memory are, wife, Eileen Mays; children, Kevin Mays, Scott Mays, Brian Mays and Jeanne Joyce; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild and a host of family members and friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to Miller-Jones Mortuary, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley, California. The family will receive friends at Calvary Chapel Moreno Valley, 28010 Ironwood Avenue on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Committal service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California at 2:15 PM.
