Elaine Roma Piper, 82 of Hemet, California passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Brookdale in Hemet, California. She was born on Sunday, January 22, 1933 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Elsia Matula. Elaine worked for Glendale Academy as a bookkeep for over 30 years. She was a devout Seventh Day Adventist Christian and built life long friendships with many members. Once retired, she still gave of her time by caring for family and friends during their difficult times. Elaine loved to listen to The Heritage Singers and she enjoyed watching Judge Judy and all the crazy cases people would catch themselves in. She read the bible every day and participated in many bible study groups. Elaine always had a smile, a kind word to say, loving and caring. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. Surviving is daughter, Vicki Oliver brother, Floyd Matula; 1 grand child.Preceded in death was her husband George Piper who passed away February 10, 2005. Interment will be private at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
