Mrs. Elaine Clara Rhodes, age 97, of Hemet, CA, for 23 years passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, CA. Elaine was born June 21, 1915 in Portland, Oregon. She was the daughter of the late Frank Schlatter and the late Grace (Story) Schlatter. She was a customer service representative with Sears Co., and she also worked for a candy factory, all together for 15 years. Elaine was very social, positive, she enjoyed gardening, camping and traveling all over the US. She loved to grow tomatoes. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard H. Rhodes.
She is survived by her son Dennis F. Walker, Panama City, FL; Ricky Bailey & Judy Hollis; five grand children.
Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory Hemet , 1501 W. Florida Avenue, Hemet, CA Interment will be private at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
