

Elizabeth "Libby" Ann Vaughn, 86, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021. She was born on June 27, 1935 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to her parents, Clifford and Minnie Reeder. Libby was born and raised in Fort Smith and lived only a couple blocks away from the man that would become the love of her life, Carl Vaughn. The two dated in high school, and eventually got married on September 22, 1951. They were married for nearly 70 incredible years. Libby was a travel agent for 40+ years. She was also the loving mother of her three children.
Libby and Carl loved to travel and had exciting adventures together in the states and throughout the world. Libby also enjoyed cooking, reading, and shopping. One of the most important things in Libby's life was her faith. She was a faithful member of her church and a dedicated woman of God. Libby was an amazing woman who will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Reeder and Minnie Gove, her son, Robert Vaughn, and her sister, Helen Titus. Libby is survived by her husband, Carl Vaughn, her son, Carl "Skip" (Nancy) Vaughn Jr., her daughter, Sandy (Doug) Hotalen, her brother, David (Sue) Reeder, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Hemet, California. A memorial service will be held at Faith World Church on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from10:30am-11:30am and will be followed by a graveside service at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:15PM.
