Ella Lee Tarkington

Mother Ella Lee Tarkington was born on April 12, 1918 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Pastor William Lee Webb and the late Sister Annie Mae Webb. She accepted the Lord at a young age in life. Mother Ella Tarkington joined the Bluerun Baptist Church at an early age. . She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a people person, happy, joyful loving and uplifting. She liked cooking a lot, dancing and most of all shopping. She was a faithful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church for 27 years. On Sunday November 18, 2012 Mother Ella Lee Tarkington went home to be with the Lord at the age of 94 in Riverside, California. She has fought the good fight, kept her course, kept her faith; now her race is complete and he is rejoicing in Heaven. Preceding her in death is her husband, William Mack Tarkington II; daughter, Wilma Hamilton; siblings, Leroy Webb and Skinny Boo Webb. To forever cherish her memory are her children, Dorothy Smith, Gloria Willard, William Tarkington, Yolanda Tarkington and Elaine Banks; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.
