Surrounded by family, Enos Leonides Archuleta, 83, passed away on December 3, 2019, at his residence in Menifee, California. Enos was born on January 30, 1936, in Los Pinos, New Mexico to his late parents Benito Archuleta and Leontina Leonarda Lucero. Enos was raised in La Jara, Colorado where he graduated from Centauri High School in 1955. Shortly after he graduated, he joined the Navy, where he proudly served his country on the USS O’Hare.
Enos was a smart, lovable man, who enjoyed airplanes and worked as a ticket agent for Frontier Airlines for many years. Some of his favorite pastimes were camping, fishing and taking his family to climb Crestone Mountain. His children have many wonderful memories of that mountain. His favorite football team was the Denver Broncos and he raised his children with that same zeal. Some other activities that his children remember were traveling to watch Adams State College wrestling team and traveling to classic car shows. He also loved watching people skydive in Perris, California. Enos was an excellent cook and even opened his own Mexican restaurant called La Paloma in Sedona, Arizona. Along with being a great cook, Enos was a very talented person and sang and played the guitar beautifully.
He was an amazing soul who loved his family and he was supportive of his children. He was known as a humble, giving, loving, and unselfish man. Enos was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene (14 yrs.) and by his second wife of thirty years, Carol Archuleta. Enos also had two sisters Evila and Eva and two Brothers Enos E. and Joseph that passed away. He was survived by his wonderful children: Mark Archuleta, Audrey (Greg) Trujillo, Enos Archuleta, Amy (Paul) Pizano, Bernadette (John) Scarbrough, Angela (Douglas) Barnhurst, his sister Lora, and Brother Sam, as well as two Aunts, Phoebe and Velma and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins. Enos will be fondly remembered by his 15 grandchildren: Amber, Mandy, Jasmine, Christine, Brittany, Darren, Paul, Matthew, Sharayah, Natalie, Nathan, Joel, Maria, Gabriella, Analeia, his 10 great grandchildren: Kayla, Logan, Cecilia, Klarah, Ainsley, Bradley, Bailey, Isaiah, Troy and Ava. He also has a great, great grandchild, Moses. Enos was also close to Fran, Deeann, Benjamin and their families. Enos expressed his love of life and knew Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and because of that we will see him again. Enos will be missed by many.
